Double Ikat Patan Patola Silk Saree in Rose Pink
Double Ikat · Chhabdi Bhat Floral Vine · Patan, Gujarat
A stunning double ikat Patan Patola on a deep rose-pink ground. The body is woven in the classic chhabdi bhat — scattered round flower heads in red, turquoise, green, yellow and magenta, connected by white vine stems that trail across the orchid-pink silk. The pallu shifts to a deep crimson red, filled with large naturalistic flowering plant bouquets in purple, green and yellow, set within a white chevron-diamond lattice. The border runs in crimson with a woven gold-orange stripe. No blouse piece included.

Patan Patola is one of the most complex weaving traditions in the world — both warp and weft threads are resist-dyed before weaving so the pattern emerges perfectly on both sides of the fabric. A single saree can take six months to a year to complete. This piece comes from the master weavers of Patan, Gujarat, where the tradition has been kept alive for over 700 years by just a handful of families.
